The Washington Post is reporting that President Donald Trump personally spoke with FIFA President Gianni Infantino regarding the suspension of U.S. soccer star Folarin Balogun. The Post said Trump urged FIFA to review Balogun's suspension before the United States’ round-of-16 World Cup match against Belgium. Balogun was subsequently cleared to play in the game. The global soccer governing body's decision, made on the eve of the match, caused an immediate stir, the Post reported.
