The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is offering a new in-person workshop on Asset Management for board directors, senior management, and other key bank executives of national banks and federal savings associations with asset management responsibilities.
The workshop is designed for participants seeking a foundational understanding of asset management principles, risks, and regulatory expectations. Through this OCC examiner-led workshop, participants will explore the key elements of effective asset management oversight and the evolving issues affecting fiduciary and related activities.
The workshop will address the importance of audit risk assessments for fiduciary activities and strategic objectives and examine in-house and outsourced internal audit functions. It will also cover key regulations and compliance obligations, emerging issues, and industry trends, including digital assets and third-party relationships.
Participants will learn how to identify, assess, and manage the various and evolving risks in asset management.
Registration is available for the October Asset Management workshops, to be held October 14 in Denver, Colorado, and October 20 in New York, New York. The OCC's website lists the schedule, workshop locations, and online registration.
