A significant portion of the meeting will focus on considering Agreed Orders that assess administrative penalties and mandate corrective actions for various environmental infractions. These include air quality violations by companies such as ISP Technologies Inc., Freeport LNG Development, L.P., and LYONDELL CHEMICAL COMPANY. Industrial hazardous waste violations by Highline Warren, LLC, and industrial wastewater discharge violations by UNION CARBIDE CORPORATION and Shell Chemical LP are also on the docket. Furthermore, numerous municipal entities and public water systems, including the City of Point, City of Trenton, and Texas Water Utilities LP, face Agreed Orders for water quality and public water supply violations. The Commission will also review a petition for rulemaking submitted by Clean Air for Kids and Harris County, which proposes new rules to allow individuals potentially affected by air permits to initiate revocation or suspension proceedings.
