NPR is reporting that it will host a virtual event focused on the 2026 midterm elections. The event, titled "Midterms 2026: The Races to Watch + Live Q&A," will feature Tamara Keith and Miles Parks, co-hosts of The NPR Politics Podcast, alongside senior national political correspondent Mara Liasson.
NPR said the discussion will cover which contests are expected to decide control of Congress, the issues voters prioritize, and how President Donald J Trump's influence will affect these critical races. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions. The virtual event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT) on Zoom. Access to the event is a benefit for NPR+ supporters, who can find registration details in a recent bonus episode of The NPR Politics Podcast. NPR highlighted that NPR+ benefits also include sponsor-free listening, bonus episodes, and early access to podcasts, all while supporting independent journalism.
