CBP Expands IEEPA Duty Refund Eligibility with CAPE Phase 2 Launch

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) launched Phase 2 of its Customs Automated Processing Engine (CAPE) on June 29, significantly expanding eligibility for International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) duty refunds. This latest phase now includes entries flagged for reconciliation, a major extension from Phase 1.
