USA TODAY is reporting that nearly half of the largest U.S. cities experienced a decrease in their resident populations following the COVID-19 pandemic. It said that by 2024, many of these cities had begun to add residents again, showing a period of recovery. However, USA TODAY noted that this positive momentum has since faded, indicating a renewed challenge for urban population growth.
