The Cornell Chronicle is reporting that a doctoral student and a team of researchers created WildFin, a dataset aimed at improving fish behavior analysis in the wild. It said the dataset is composed of nine hours of video that the team labeled frame-by-frame with fish behaviors.

The Chronicle is reporting that tariffs on Canadian power could raise costs, emissions and grid risks. It said that with increased costs, New York could be forced to rely more on in-state generation and electricity from other U.S. regions that depend more on fossil fuels.

The Chronicle is reporting that an exhibit opening Oct. 8 at the ILR School's Catherwood Library examines the intersection of the environment, labor and work wear. It said "Weathering the Storm" weaves together clothing, work and the environment.

The Chronicle also reported, citing International Business Times, that people who took a Wegovy pill still lost weight. It said Dr. Louis Aronne of Weill Cornell said data shows a switch to the oral pill may be a viable path for some, with real weight loss in the first three months.

Separately, the Chronicle reported, citing CNY News, that parts of New York are already at peak fall foliage. It said Nina Bassuk of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences said the state's unusually wet summer could help leaves remain on trees longer, potentially giving them more time to develop color.
