U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of several individuals described as "criminal illegal aliens" across the country, citing convictions for serious offenses including voluntary manslaughter, sexual assault of a child, and attempted robbery. These arrests were made under the directive that those who break the law will face consequences.
Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis emphasized the agency's commitment, stating, "While sanctuary politicians continue to smear ICE law enforcement, our officers continue to put their lives on the line to make America safe again. Yesterday, our law enforcement arrested murderers, pedophiles, and robbers." Bis also highlighted a significant increase in assaults and death threats against ICE officers.
Among those arrested were Kha Ngoc Le, convicted of voluntary manslaughter in New Hampshire; Andres Espinosa-Reyna, for sexual assault of a child in Texas; and Jose Ordonez-Mendez, for attempted sexual battery on a child in Florida. Other arrests included Sharon Cristina Cruz-Wences for selling a person for immoral purpose in California and Edgar Velasquez-Ortiz for attempted robbery in the District of Columbia.
