Fairfax County Police have charged a driver in connection with a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash that occurred in Seven Corners on May 26, resulting in the death of Jose Jimenez.
Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit determined that Jose Jimenez, 60, of Falls Church, was crossing Arlington Boulevard at Patrick Henry Drive against the pedestrian signal when he was struck by an eastbound light-colored sedan. The vehicle, later identified as a 2004 silver Honda Civic, fled the scene before police arrived. Jimenez was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
On June 28, Hein Quang Le, 63, of Arlington, turned himself in at the Mason Police Station. Following an interview with detectives, Le was charged with Felony Hit and Run for his involvement in the crash and is currently being held without bond at the Adult Detention Center.
