U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 50,925 illegal aliens across the country in August 2026, a new single-month record and the third straight month ICE has set one, the Department of Homeland Security said.

The August total surpasses the previous record of 50,208 arrests set in July 2026, marking the second consecutive month with more than 50,000 arrests. July's figure surpassed June, which saw 43,900 arrests.

"The hard-working men and women of DHS continue to break records as they defend the homeland and protect the American people," said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. "For the third straight month, ICE set a new record for the highest number of illegal aliens arrested in a single month, nearly 51,000. This is promises made and promises kept in action. Under President Trump's leadership, ICE is working around the clock every day to arrest and deport illegal aliens from American communities. If you are in the country illegally, LEAVE NOW. If not, we will find you, arrest you, and deport you."

Since President Trump returned to office, more than 3 million illegal aliens have left the United States, according to the release. DHS said the United States is offering illegal aliens $3,000 and a free flight to self-deport now through the CBP Home App, adding that those who do not will be arrested and deported without a chance to return.

ICE also reported arresting criminal illegal aliens in August, including individuals convicted of DUI manslaughter, child pornography, murder, sexual assault of a minor, and conspiracy to distribute fentanyl. Among those cited were Osbert Marion Otien Owuor of Kenya, convicted of murder in Compton, California; Masroor Ahmed Butt of India, convicted of intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and possession of child pornography in Washington, D.C.; and Jorge Emigdio Ortiz-Barrios of Guatemala, convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Others listed include Edison Javier Bueno-Tenempaguay of Ecuador, convicted of sexual assault of a minor in Bergen County, New Jersey; Wilmark Orozco-Huerta of Mexico, convicted of vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter in Polk County, Florida; Moises Gutierez of Mexico, a Paisas gang member; and Daniel Alexander Martinez-Murillo of Honduras, a member of the Somos Pocos Pero Locos Gang convicted of aggravated robbery in Houston, Texas.
