The Library of Congress has announced its 2026-27 Concert Season, featuring a diverse lineup spanning six centuries of music and marking significant anniversaries, including America's semiquincentennial and the centennials of jazz legends Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
The season at the historic Coolidge Auditorium will host world-class performances, film screenings, and scholarly talks. Highlights include violist Hsin-Yun Huang with the Brentano Quartet for Stradivari Anniversary concerts, and Dianne Reeves joining the Branford Marsalis Quartet to honor John Coltrane's legacy.
Broadway star Audra McDonald will present an intimate recital celebrating American theater music, acknowledging the Library's recent acquisition of the Stephen Sondheim collection. The season also features premieres of seven new commissions, including a string quartet by John Adams, who will also discuss his career.
