Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced today that President Donald J Trump has nominated eight colonels for appointment to the grade of brigadier general, including seven from the U.S. Space Force and one from the U.S. Marine Corps. These nominations recognize the officers' current leadership positions across various commands and headquarters.
The Space Force nominees include Col. Mark C. Bigley, chief of Current Operations Division, U.S. Space Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado; Col. Ryan P. Frazier, director of Capability Delivery, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration, Headquarters Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.; Col. Jared A. Hoffman, deputy director of Operations, Plans, and Force Development, Space Operations Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado; Col. Jason N. Schramm, deputy inspector general for Space, Headquarters Space Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.; Col. Clifford V. Sulham, U.S. Space Force deputy director, Integrated Capabilities Office, Headquarters Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.; Col. Phillip A. Verocco, senior executive officer to the Chief of Space Operations, Headquarters Space Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.; and Col. Eric J. Zarybnisky, program executive officer, Assured Access to Space, Space Systems Command, Patrick Space Force Base, Florida.
Marine Corps Col. Frank Diorio, Jr. was also nominated. He currently serves as programs development branch head, Programs and Resources Department, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
