Everything Sprouts, LLC, based in Minneapolis, MN, has expanded its voluntary recall to include certain lots of Robust Radish Sprout Mix due to potential contamination with Shiga toxin-producing "Escherichia coli" (STEC) or "Salmonella" bacteria.
The recalled product, sold in 5oz cups with barcode 087906000075 and lot numbers 223, 226, 230, and 233, was distributed to wholesale distributors and grocery stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Distribution occurred between August 13, 2026, and August 26, 2026.
STEC can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems, potentially leading to hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). Salmonella infection typically causes gastroenteritis but can result in more severe illnesses in vulnerable individuals. To date, no reports of illness related to Robust Radish Sprouts Mix have been received by federal and state agencies.
