The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Detroit Field Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Detroit Field Division, the Detroit Police Department’s (DPD) 9th Precinct, and The Youth Connection are partnering to host a community outreach event on Friday, June 26, 2026, in Detroit, recognizing the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

This collaborative event aims to educate community members about the dangers of drug abuse, counterfeit pills, and human trafficking. It will also provide vital resources focused on prevention, awareness, and public safety.

Attendees can engage in a "Hidden in Plain Sight" interactive experience, observe Narcan administration demonstrations, and access educational materials. An on-site prescription drug take-back collection will also be available for safe disposal of unwanted or expired medications.

The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Detroit Police Department’s 9th Precinct, located at 11187 Gratiot, Detroit, MI 48213. Media opportunities, including interviews and visual access to presentations and demonstrations, will be available.
