Arlington County Parks & Recreation has announced the opening of registration for its Fall ENJOY classes and the return of the 50th annual Arlington County Fair. Residents can explore hundreds of programs for all ages, alongside a week-long celebration featuring rides, entertainment, and food.
Registration for Fall Parks & Recreation classes begins this week, with specific dates for different program categories. Gymnastics registration opened at noon on August 4, followed by Aquatics and Private Swim on August 5. Nature & History and General Classes registration will commence on August 6. Offerings include fitness, cooking, and arts programs.
The 50th anniversary Arlington County Fair, themed "Stars, Stripes & Summer Nights," will take place from August 12-16 at Thomas Jefferson Community Center and Park. This free event promises five days of rides, games, live entertainment, and fair food. A "Bike to the County Fair" event is also scheduled for August 14, starting from Walter Reed Community Center.
Other upcoming events include a Teen Night: End of Summer Bash on August 7 at Arlington Mill Community Center, and a guided walking tour of Fort C.F. Smith on August 8, exploring its Civil War history. Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center will offer a membership trial from August 7-16. Registration is open for the 2026 Arlington Mixed Doubles Pickleball Tournament on September 26 at Walter Reed Dedicated Pickleball Courts, with a deadline of September 14.
