Governor Sherrill signed a series of bills into law today, addressing a range of issues from professional licensure to public services and historical recognition. The legislation includes updates for occupational therapy licensure and New Jersey's entry into the Athletic Trainer Compact, enhancing professional standards within the state.
Further bills signed include the "Affordable Power Purchase Agreements Extension Act," which extends public entity contracts for energy conservation and renewable energy. New Jersey will also see the creation of "250th Anniversary Revolutionary War" license plates and a requirement for real property sellers to disclose the presence of dams.
Additionally, funding was authorized for on-demand micro transit services under the Senior Citizen and Disabled Resident Transportation Assistance Program. Finally, November 7 of each year has been designated as "Shwachman Diamond Syndrome Awareness Day" in New Jersey.
