The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) will host "Rip! Tear! Collage as Critique," an exhibition featuring 23 DC-based artists. This exhibition explores collage as a conceptual strategy to address national divisions and reconcile fractured stories and symbols of American history and modern life.
An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, from 6 to 8 pm at the Eye Street Gallery. The artists utilize collage to give a platform to narratives of rupture, repair, and reassembly during a time of deep societal division.
