Panorama Produce has initiated a recall of 302 boxes of size 9 mangoes due to potential "Salmonella" contamination, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals infected with "Salmonella" often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
The affected mangoes were distributed between August 10 and August 21, 2026, in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and were sold in select Walmart stores. Consumers can identify the recalled product by a Martina-branded case, and individual mangoes have a light blue sticker labeled Agrofepac, Produce of Mexico, with PLU 4584 and UPC # 07503061948050.
The recall was prompted after FDA sampling detected "Salmonella" in mangoes from the same farm, though those specific mangoes were not distributed in the U.S. Panorama Produce initiated the recall as a precautionary measure due to the shared source. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recalled product.
