NPR is reporting that its NPR+ service will host a live Zoom event for "Planet Money" on June 25. It said co-host Jeff Guo and author Alex Mayyasi will discuss highlights from the team's book, "Planet Money: A Guide to the Economic Forces that Shape Your Life." The event will also feature a discussion on the food industry's business and economics with Louis Lin and Jolyn Chen, co-owners of Portland, Oregon, restaurant Xiao Ye. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.
NPR also highlighted several bonus episodes available through NPR+. It said new "Car Talk" call-in segments with Ray are available, featuring listener questions about car issues and anecdotes.
