Concurrently, Virginia Medicaid introduced a new Dental Claims and Utilization Services dashboard, designed to enhance transparency and support informed decision-making across its dental program.
Northern Virginia residents are encouraged to review their health coverage options on the Virginia Managed Care website and to carefully check for enrollment letters containing personalized details. The new dental dashboard aims to help members better understand how dental services are utilized across the Commonwealth and identify trends related to access to care in various communities.
In addition to these updates, Cardinal Care issued summer safety advice, urging vigilance against bug bites and stings that could potentially spread diseases. The program also provided essential hurricane season preparedness tips, including assembling emergency kits with at least three days' worth of supplies and establishing family communication plans.
The press release also highlighted recent activities by Governor Abigail Spanberger, who celebrated civic engagement at the 79th annual Virginia Girls State and 83rd annual Virginia Boys State sessions. Governor Spanberger also hosted Virginia's inaugural Juneteenth celebration for state employees, reflecting on history and recognizing leaders who share the stories of Black Virginians. Furthermore, resources for career development, volunteering, and GED testing were shared to strengthen communities.
Cardinal Care is actively seeking community feedback through an engagement survey to explore ways to connect the Medicaid community. Members are also invited to share their stories about how Medicaid has made a difference in their lives, with selected stories potentially featured on social media as part of the "Real People, Real Members" initiative.
