Six individuals, including one illegal alien, have been sentenced to decades in federal prison for trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and other controlled substances in the Southern District of Indiana. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana secured these convictions, which stemmed from separate investigations resolved in March or April 2026.
Antwan Lamont Shackelford, 46, of Indianapolis, received a 20-year sentence for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine. During his arrest in March 2023, Shackelford was found concealing 8.355 grams of pure methamphetamine and 2.47 grams of fentanyl internally. Joshua Richey, 43, also of Indianapolis, was sentenced to 15 years for possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and a firearm offense.
Wilfredo Alexander Reyes-Dominguez, 26, from Hamilton County, IN, an illegal alien, received a 10-year sentence for methamphetamine trafficking and a firearm offense. In August 2024, during a traffic stop, law enforcement found 430.5 grams of pure methamphetamine, 43.1 grams of cocaine, and a loaded Glock handgun in his daughter’s diaper bag. Reyes-Dominguez admitted paying approximately $9,000 to enter the U.S. illegally and will face removal upon completing his sentence.
Other defendants sentenced include Carlos Bullock (10 years), Aaron Burk (10 years), and Derrick Anthony Griffin (10 years, 10 months) for various drug and firearm offenses. Investigations led to the seizure of 124 grams of fentanyl, 491 grams of methamphetamine, 73.5 grams of cocaine, multiple firearms, and $285,406 in cash. The Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations, and the FBI-Indianapolis were among the agencies that investigated or assisted in these cases.
