Kristina Johnson, 69, formerly of Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for falsifying records during a bankruptcy proceeding. Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann delivered the sentence.

According to U.S. Attorney Brian D. Miller, Johnson and her husband, John J. Johnson II, owned the Springfield Bed & Breakfast in Boalsburg, which filed for bankruptcy in 2022. During the reorganization efforts, the Johnsons submitted monthly operating reports to the bankruptcy court that contained false information about bank activity and concealed an undisclosed bank account.

Kristina Johnson pleaded guilty in November 2025. Her husband, John J. Johnson II, previously received an 18-month prison sentence in March 2026 for his role in the scheme. The case was investigated by the United States Bankruptcy Trustee and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant United States Attorney Geoffrey W. MacArthur prosecuting.
