Toyota has opened the Toyota Battery Center of North America (TBC) in Saline, Michigan, marking what the company calls the next chapter of its electrification transformation.
The facility gives Toyota's Michigan-based battery teams increased capabilities to evaluate and develop technology across the full battery-development cycle, from sourcing raw materials to customer applications to recycling.
The center was unveiled at Toyota's Michigan R&D campus, where the company's battery work is based.
