U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced yesterday the arrest of several criminal illegal aliens convicted of serious offenses across the United States. These arrests targeted individuals involved in crimes such as negligent homicide, child sexual abuse, and firearms trafficking.
According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, nearly 70% of all ICE arrests involve illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. The recent operations included the apprehension of individuals convicted for lewd or lascivious acts with a child, possession of child pornography, and attempted sodomy on a child.
Among those arrested were Martin Martinez-Ballinas in Maryland for negligent homicide, Jesus Andres Bailon-Rodriguez in California for lewd acts with a child, and Javier Gutierrez-Tapia in Illinois for child pornography possession. Juan Esteban Jaramillo was arrested in Utah for attempted sodomy on a child, and Enyerling Briceno-Zambrano in New York for conspiracy to traffic firearms.
Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said, "Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, ICE is unleashed to arrest and remove these threats to our nation and make our communities safe again."
