Thirteen defendants have been sentenced to a combined 915 months in prison for drug dealing, drug conspiracy, and unlawful firearm possession, concluding a significant operation by the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) in the Northern District of Texas. The final defendant was sentenced on May 7, 2026, marking the culmination of an initiative that targeted criminal organizations fueling violence and instability.
Law enforcement seizures during the operation included 4.1 kilograms of marijuana, 282 grams of crack cocaine, 2.3 kilograms of cocaine, 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 6.1 grams of fentanyl. Additionally, authorities confiscated 12 firearms, two glock switches, and $11,985 in U.S. currency. This effort is part of the HSTF, established by Executive Order 14159, which focuses on eliminating criminal cartels and transnational criminal organizations.
The HSTF Dallas, comprising agents from FBI-Dallas and the Dallas Police Department, led the investigation, with prosecution handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas. The operation utilized a Violent Crime Reduction Plan, focusing on hot spot policing in 47 identified high-crime neighborhoods to combat illicit narcotics, illegal firearms, and violent crimes. This collaboration demonstrates a significant step in reducing violent crime and protecting the community.
