The Library of Congress has unveiled the 2026 National Book Festival poster, designed by acclaimed illustrator Andrew Bannecker, known for his vibrant and richly layered artwork.
Bannecker's design celebrates the transformative power of reading through his signature style, which combines bold colors and intricate patterns. The Kansas-born artist has said his goal isn't attention but "connection," a philosophy evident in his two decades of award-winning work.
The 2026 National Book Festival is scheduled for August 22 at the Washington Convention Center. This year's festival is also part of the Library's America 250: It’s Your Story celebration, marking the nation's semiquincentennial.
