Gary Saleem Price, a 46-year-old convicted sex offender from the District of Columbia, pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court to failing to register as a sex offender, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro announced.

Price was convicted of first-degree child sexual abuse in 2017, which legally required him to register as a sex offender. Following his incarceration, he was mandated to remain in a transitional living placement in Baltimore, Maryland, but absconded from this location in November 2024, subsequently settling in Washington, D.C.

Law enforcement located Price in March 2026, confirming he had not registered as a sex offender in the District of Columbia, a clear violation of his legal obligations. Sentencing for Price has been scheduled for July 29, 2026, before Judge Dabney L. Friedrich.

This case was investigated by the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force and falls under the Department of Justice's Project Safe Childhood initiative, which is dedicated to protecting children from online exploitation and abuse.
