Alaska Airlines has significantly expanded its international offerings from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) with new nonstop services to London and Reykjavik, bringing SEA's total nonstop international connections to over 60.
The seasonal service to Reykjavik (KEF) launched recently on an Alaska Boeing 737 MAX 8, marking the airline's third European destination. This route provides connections to destinations throughout Europe via Alaska’s partner, Icelandair.
Daily, year-round service to London Heathrow’s Terminal 3 began last Thursday, offering even more global connections through oneworld partners. These new routes follow earlier Alaska Airlines international launches from SEA to Tokyo, Seoul, and Rome.
"Alaska Airlines’ international expansion has been a significant milestone for SEA as well as the entire region," said Sam Cho, Port of Seattle Commissioner. "It has cemented SEA’s place as a premier global gateway and one of just a few airports to serve as hubs to two long-haul international airlines."
These additions underscore SEA's growing role as a major global hub, offering competitive options for travelers.
