A joint report by the U.S. Air Force and NOAA indicates low solar activity and quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions, with forecasts predicting very low solar activity and quiet to active geomagnetic levels over the next three days.

The Solar Geophysical Activity Report, issued on August 11, 2026, noted low solar activity for the past 24 hours, with four sunspot regions currently visible. Solar activity is expected to remain very low through August 14, with a slight chance for C-class flares.

The geomagnetic field experienced quiet to unsettled levels, with solar wind speed peaking at 445 km/s and electrons greater than 2 MeV reaching 733 pfu. The geomagnetic field is predicted to be quiet on August 12 and 13, becoming quiet to active on August 14.
