London Teeter, a 22-year-old former Walgreen’s store manager from the District of Columbia, was sentenced today to 32 months in prison for her involvement in a series of seven inside-job robberies at the Chinatown drug store where she was employed.
Teeter pleaded guilty on February 13, 2025, to one count of conspiracy to interfere with interstate commerce by robbery. U.S. District Judge Jia M. Cobb also ordered her to serve three years of supervised release, a sentence significantly lighter than the 100 months federal prosecutors had requested and the 87-to-108 months suggested by sentencing guidelines.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro commented on the sentencing, saying, “London Teeter was a key architect of a seven-month scheme that repeatedly turned her own workplace into a crime scene.” Pirro added that the lighter sentence “does little to protect the citizens of the District.” Teeter and three co-conspirators orchestrated the robberies nearly monthly from July 2023 to February 2024, exploiting Teeter's knowledge of cash transfer timings and pretending to be victims while masked gunmen stole at least $28,983.
The scheme escalated to include robbing armed Special Police Officers hired by the store. Co-conspirators Michael Robinson, Kamanye Williams, and Gianni Robinson received sentences of 147 months, 198 months, and 126 months, respectively, for their roles in the robberies. Teeter was arrested on February 22, 2024, after law enforcement recovered a loaded Glock 45 pistol from her home.
