Lieutenant Governor Caldwell to Serve as Acting Governor as Sherrill Travels

Governor Sherrill will be traveling out of state from the afternoon of Friday, July 24, 2026, until the evening of Sunday, July 26. During this period, Lieutenant Governor Dr. Dale Caldwell will assume the role of Acting Governor for New Jersey. This temporary change in leadership ensures continuous governance while Governor Sherrill is away.
