Breaking Defense is reporting that the Space Force is struggling to integrate commercial space data into its operations. Colonel Tim Trimailo, head of the Space Systems Command's Commercial Space Office, told Breaking Defense that a stronger connection is needed between acquisition officers, staff and operators. The publication also said hypersonics and rocket startup Ursa Major plans to go public in a $2.3 billion deal. CEO Chris Spagnoletti stated the transaction will help the company achieve the production capacity its customers require. Additionally, Breaking Defense highlighted a new White House strategy that clarifies military technology priorities. The National Security Science & Technology Strategy identifies undersea capabilities, outer space and artificial intelligence as key areas. It also outlines quantum and biotech as second-tier or longer-term technologies.
