The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has released its schedule for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) evaluations to be conducted in the third quarter of 2026. This announcement marks a shift from the agency's previous practice of releasing schedules two quarters in advance.

The change in scheduling is attributed to recent updates concerning CRA evaluations for community banks and the implementation of reforms to the supervisory strategy process. These factors currently limit the OCC's ability to provide a longer-term evaluation outlook.

The OCC is encouraging public comment regarding the CRA-related activities of national banks and federal savings associations slated for evaluation. Comments should be submitted directly to the banks at their listed mailing addresses or to the appropriate OCC supervisory office before the evaluation month. All comments received prior to the close of the CRA evaluation will be considered by the agency.
