Jonathan Robert Davlin, 49, of Huntersville, was sentenced yesterday to seven years in federal prison for transporting child sexual abuse material (CSAM). U.S. Attorney Russ Ferguson for the Western District of North Carolina announced the sentencing, which also includes 10 years of supervised release and mandatory sex offender registration.
Court records indicate that law enforcement received information in 2022 about an individual, later identified as Davlin, uploading CSAM to a cloud-based server. A forensic analysis of seized electronics revealed Davlin possessed 797 videos and 861 images depicting child sexual abuse, including significant quantities involving bestiality with minors and infant/toddlers.
Davlin pleaded guilty to transportation of child pornography on January 6, 2026. The case, prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel Cervantes, was investigated by the FBI and the Huntersville Police Department as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative combating child sexual exploitation.
