Governor Mike Dunleavy and First Lady Rose Dunleavy have expressed their profound sadness following the passing of former Alaska Representative Carl Morgan, extending their condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.
Governor Dunleavy praised Morgan's dedication to public service. “Rose and I are saddened by the passing of Carl Morgan. Carl dedicated his life to serving the people of Western Alaska and the state he called home. He was a strong advocate for his community and a committed public servant, and his contributions to Alaska will not be forgotten,” Gov. Dunleavy said.
Morgan, a lifelong Alaskan born in Upper Kalskag, served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 1999 to 2004.
