A Georgia man, De’Andre Jackson, a member of the GoodFellas gang, has been sentenced to over 15 years in prison for his role in a drive-by shooting that injured multiple victims, including a 6-year-old child.
Jackson, 23, also known as “Gen,” “Glock,” and “Glizzy,” of Clarkston, and other armed gang members drove to an apartment complex intending to shoot an individual they believed was disloyal. During the attack, Jackson and others discharged numerous firearms, striking the intended target multiple times, her 6-year-old son three times, and a 14-year-old victim in the ear. All victims survived the shooting, from which approximately 50 shell casings were recovered.
Jackson received a sentence of 186 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for using a firearm during attempted murder in aid of racketeering. The announcement was made by Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva, U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg, and Special Agent in Charge Marlo Graham of the FBI Atlanta Field Office.
The case, investigated by the FBI, is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative by the Department of Justice aimed at eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations and protecting communities from violent crime.
