The Washington Post is reporting that over half of the performers scheduled for the Great American State Fair on the National Mall have withdrawn from the summerlong event. It said the artists are citing politics and threats as reasons for their departure. Bret Michaels and Martina McBride are among the latest artists to pull out of the event, which is organized by Freedom 250.
