Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK) has launched a photo contest inviting the community to share their favorite airport moments in celebration of National Aviation Day. Running from July 6 through July 27, participants can submit photos by posting them on social media with the hashtag #OAKPhotoContest2026.
Submissions can feature aircraft, terminal scenes, airfield activity, or traveler experiences, capturing OAK's unique energy and character. "National Aviation Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the excitement of air travel and the people who make it possible," said Craig Simon, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. "We’re excited to see OAK through the eyes of our travelers and community."
A panel of OAK employees will select one winning photograph. The grand prize includes the photo displayed in-terminal, recognition on OAK's social media, an OAK airport swag bag, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the airport and airfield. Participants must ensure their social media profiles are public for their entries to be judged.
