The Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action have launched the Election Transparency Initiative, expanding their efforts to safeguard elections, promote transparency, and ensure only American voices are heard, while The Oversight Project also secured a significant court victory against former President Joe Biden.
Led by Ken Cuccinelli, former Virginia attorney general and secretary of homeland security, the Election Transparency Initiative aims to support state leaders and coalition partners nationwide. Cuccinelli said, "This is not the beginning of our work or of Heritage’s; it is the next and stronger chapter. We will continue supporting state leaders and working alongside coalition partners across the country, now backed by the unmatched research, policy, legal, communications, and grassroots capabilities of Heritage."
In a separate development, the D.C. Appeals Court sided with The Oversight Project, denying former President Biden’s request to block the release of transcripts and audio recordings related to his autobiography. This decision brings these materials closer to public release.
Additionally, Heritage released a short film exposing what it calls an "ideological takeover" of the Smithsonian Institution, with Senior Fellow Mike Gonzalez noting, "The National Museum of American History doesn’t have a single major exhibit dedicated to George Washington, or Thomas Jefferson, or any of the Founding Fathers." Heritage President Dr. Kevin Roberts also discussed a conservative approach to AI data centers, emphasizing the need for an honest conversation about tradeoffs that includes local community will.
