The Port of Seattle has announced the recipients of its 2026-27 Tourism Marketing Support Program (TMSP), awarding funding to 35 projects across King County and Washington state. The program saw a record number of applications this year, reflecting robust regional tourism and increased demand for community-based initiatives.
These selected projects will support a diverse range of nonprofit and civic organizations. Their focus is on driving visitor spending, supporting local jobs, and strengthening communities throughout the region, ensuring the economic benefits of tourism are shared broadly and equitably.
The TMSP is a cornerstone of the Port’s tourism development efforts, directing visitors to places where their spending can have the greatest positive impact, especially in under-resourced areas and lesser-known destinations. The Port plans to issue over $600,000 in marketing support funds over the next two years.
Commissioner Fred Felleman said, "This year’s grant recipients from the Port of Seattle’s Tourism Marketing Support Program highlight the natural and cultural diversity that make Washington state an exceptional destination for visitors from around the world." He added that the program supports efforts to encourage travel while also imparting the importance of respecting visited destinations.
