Quintavious Bailey, a multi-convicted felon, was arraigned today on multiple federal charges for allegedly robbing an Atlanta pawn shop and discharging a firearm during the incident.
On October 24, 2024, Bailey allegedly used a firearm to rob an Atlanta pawn shop. He reportedly discharged a firearm into the ceiling upon entering, then pointed it at customers and forced an employee to open a jewelry case and cash register, taking cash and jewelry before fleeing.
Bailey, 34, of Atlanta, Georgia, was indicted on June 3, 2026, for Hobbs Act robbery, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence. U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg said Bailey “allegedly jeopardized the lives of ordinary people by discharging a firearm during a robbery.” Marlo Graham, Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta, emphasized that “innocent employees and customers were simply going about their day when they were forced to fear for their lives.”
Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum said armed robberies “have no place in our city.” Due to prior convictions for Burglary and Armed Robbery in Fulton County, Bailey faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years if convicted of the firearm- and ammunition-related offenses. He is currently held without bail.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Atlanta Police Department are investigating the case, which is part of “Operation Take Back America,” a nationwide initiative by the Department of Justice to combat violent crime.
