The Port of Seattle has initiated a 60-day public comment period for the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) concerning the Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) Near-Term Projects (NTPs) for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

This crucial step in the SEPA process, which began on May 22, 2026, allows the public to provide input on proposed developments aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving the traveler experience at SEA. The projects are designed to meet the needs of the Puget Sound region, which anticipates an additional one million residents by 2035, and include transportation improvements in and around the airport.

The DEIS ensures that public agencies thoroughly assess the environmental impacts of proposed actions. The public comment period will conclude on July 21, 2026, at 4 p.m. PDT, offering a vital opportunity for community engagement in the airport's future planning.
