The Washington Post is reporting that the Justice Department is investigating a Democratic-allied nonprofit organization. It said the nonprofit helped fund columnist E. Jean Carroll’s civil lawsuit against President Donald Trump. The investigation centers on statements Carroll made during a deposition in that lawsuit. A jury previously found that Trump sexually assaulted and defamed Carroll.
