Nebraska Game and Parks will host a special guided hike on July 11, focusing on the historic Lewis and Clark expedition near Nebraska City, as part of its ongoing "Your Parks Adventure: Trail Trek" series.
The event begins at 9 a.m. at the Missouri River Basin Lewis and Clark Visitor Center, inviting participants to follow the expedition's path and delve into its historical importance. After the hike, attendees can experience living history reenactors and listen to celebrated author Joe Starita, author of "I Am A Man."
This July 11 hike marks the fourth in the guided Trail Trek series, with two additional hikes scheduled for August and September. The free "Your Parks Adventure" program runs through September 30, offering ample opportunity for the public to engage with Nebraska's natural and historical sites.
