RNZ is reporting that a New Zealand woman and her six-year-old son have been detained by U.S. immigration authorities in Washington state. Newsweek reported Sarah Shaw and her son Isaac were detained on the Canadian border three weeks ago after Shaw dropped off her other children in Vancouver. In other news, Deputy Prime Minister David Seymour said there would be some hope of starting a discussion about recognizing a Palestinian state if Hamas released the Israeli hostages and demilitarized. RNZ also noted that flashing mouthguards will be used at this year's Rugby World Cup. The mouthguards light up when a player sustains a significant head impact.
