Arlington County Parks & Recreation announced significant changes to its outdoor programming and summer camps for Thursday, July 2, due to an Extreme Heat Warning. All outdoor activities scheduled between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. will either be moved to indoor locations or canceled.

This includes all league practices and games at County outdoor facilities. Program participants affected by these changes, including any summer camp relocations, early closings, or cancellations, will receive direct notification via email, phone call, or text.

Residents are advised to limit time outside and utilize free indoor spaces such as Arlington County libraries or community centers to stay cool. Updates on programming will be communicated directly to participants should weather conditions change.
