The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) is encouraging residents to participate in upcoming community events to enhance public safety, prevent crime, and strengthen relationships with local first responders. The department actively engages through various events, including police district station gatherings, community meetings, and ongoing programs.
This week's schedule includes the Mosaic District Pride Festival on Saturday, June 6, from 3 pm to 6 pm in McLean, and Supervisor Storck’s 2nd Annual Summer Palooza on Saturday, June 6, from 11 am to 3 pm in Mount Vernon. Other events feature a Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training on Wednesday, June 10, and a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Meeting the same evening. A Unity of Fairfax Cookoff is set for Sunday, June 7, and the Greater Tysons Citizen’s Council Meeting on Thursday, June 11.
Residents can find more information by contacting their local police district station or signing up for district newsletters to receive updates on local issues and safety tips. The FCPD also invites the community to register security cameras with Connect Fairfax County to aid investigations and locate missing persons, further fostering collaboration.
