The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that job openings and hires remained largely stable in May, according to its latest Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) news release. Job openings held steady at 7.6 million, while the number of hires was unchanged at 5.2 million.

Total separations also saw little change during May, registering 5.1 million. These figures indicate a consistent trend in the U.S. labor market for the month.
