Fayus Inc. Recalls OLA-OLA POUNDED YAM Due to Undeclared Milk Allergen

Fayus Inc., doing business as Yusol International Foods, has voluntarily recalled its OLA-OLA POUNDED YAM product due to the potential presence of undeclared milk, specifically sodium caseinate, which is not listed on the label. This poses a serious risk to individuals with milk allergies or severe sensitivities.

The Sacramento, CA-based company initiated the recall after an internal investigation revealed that some OLA-OLA POUNDED YAM packages were distributed without disclosing the milk-derived allergen. A subsequent inquiry identified a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes as the cause.

While no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date in connection with this issue, consumers with milk allergies are advised to avoid consuming the product.
