TIME magazine is reporting that it has compiled "A Portrait of America in 25 Buildings and Monuments" as the U.S. approaches its Semiquincentennial. It said the project involved asking 25 architects, urban planners, thinkers and other experts to each nominate a structure or monument they believe offers a special insight into the nation at this moment. TIME said their collective answers aim to paint a three-dimensional portrait of America.
